A catch-all email mailbox receives email messages sent to non-existent addresses under the same domain. For instance, an email sent to the miswritten suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. In this way, you can get messages from acquaintances or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling error or to an old one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Only one mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for such a mailbox. This is so because of the fact that at some moment you may begin receiving spam messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction means that the spam will not be received in a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Web Hosting

If you host a domain on our cloud platform and you’ve got a cloud web hosting account, you’ll be able to activate the catch-all feature for any email mailbox that you set up under the domain name. The Email Manager section of the Hepsia hosting Control Panel comes with quite a few features, but it’s unbelievably easy to use, so configuring a catch-all mailbox takes just one single click. All the email addresses that you have created will be listed in this section in alphabetical order and you will only have to click the "Catch-all" button for the particular email address. Our system will inform you if there is already another catch-all mailbox enabled for that domain or if the one that you want to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding activated, so you can either turn off the latter feature or choose a different mailbox. Deactivating the catch-all feature is just as easy and requires one more mouse click on the same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The custom-built Hepsia hosting Control Panel that is included with every semi-dedicated server package that we’re offering will allow you to set up a catch-all mailbox without any difficulty even in case you don’t have much web/email hosting experience. All it takes to do that is to click on the catch-all icon, which will be on the right side of each mailbox that you have set up with your domains in the hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section. Since you can have just one single mailbox with this feature per domain name, our system will inform you if you have already set up another catch-all mailbox or if the one that you want to use has email forwarding activated. If you reach the decision that you don’t want the feature any longer, you can turn it off by clicking once again on the same icon. The Email Manager will also allow you to see your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
